For most all of the ingredients, I&#8217;m sure you know what to do. But sometimes, you just have to listen to the share, and come up with something new.<\/p>\n<p>One option is lettuce wraps. A great recipe from our friend Heather Hands is <a href=\"http:\/\/csachef.blogspot.com\/2009\/05\/csa-week-one-lettuce-wraps.html\">here<\/a>. We made some for Sunday brunch that was simply leftover stir-fry with some fresh greenery added. Simple.<\/p>\n<p>Another option is this week&#8217;s main recipe. I originally wanted to do a garlic scape dressing, and then thought that a few strawberries might be a good addition. I think it was a good idea.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Garlic Scape and Strawberry Dressing<\/strong> <strong>(over Endive)<br \/><\/strong>One of the things that made this especially nice was the homemade yogurt. It is also a great dressing on the endive. You can adjust you dressing proportions to suit your taste.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ingredients<\/em><br \/>3 garlic scapes<br \/>3 strawberries<br \/>1 to 1-1\/2 cups plain yogurt<br \/>1-1\/2 tsp sugar or 2 tsp honey<br \/>1\/2 tsp salt<br \/>3 tbsp balsamic vinegar<br \/>1 tbsp lemon or lime juice<br \/>1\/4 cup olive oil<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IZpBNvaDJnw\/TARvUVO2lCI\/AAAAAAAAAm8\/7fIVxSJjwzk\/s1600\/strawberry+dressing+1.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477625441876874274\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/_IZpBNvaDJnw\/TARvUVO2lCI\/AAAAAAAAAm8\/7fIVxSJjwzk\/s320\/strawberry+dressing+1.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>Method<\/em><br \/>Coarsley chop the garlic scapes and place in a food processor or blender. Chop fine. Add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.<br \/>Chop endive coarsley and add dressing to consistency of a light slaw. Let site 5 minutes to 1 hour.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_IZpBNvaDJnw\/TARvU1Y_akI\/AAAAAAAAAnE\/ueOI2zQdAPA\/s1600\/strawberry+dressing+2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"WIDTH: 320px; HEIGHT: 240px; CURSOR: hand\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5477625450509331010\" border=\"0\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_IZpBNvaDJnw\/TARvU1Y_akI\/AAAAAAAAAnE\/ueOI2zQdAPA\/s320\/strawberry+dressing+2.jpg\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>As promised in a recent email, here is a great strawberry jam recipe.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Strawberry Jam<\/strong><br \/>5 lbs strawberries<br \/>8 to 10 cups sugar or organic evaporated cane juice<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Clean strawberries, removing leaves and white hulls<br \/>&#8211; Place berries in 6 to 8 quart pot.<br \/>&#8211; Crush berries with a potato masher (crush in separate layers)<br \/>&#8211; Add sugar and cook to boiling, stirring often<br \/>&#8211; Skim occasionally<br \/>&#8211; Cook until mixture thickens to desired consistency, about 3 to 4 hours over medium heat<br \/>&#8211; Fill canning jars and process in boiling water bath for 10 to 15 minutes, depending on your elevation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Quite a mix in this week&#8217;s share, from broccoli to strawberries.
